It was used by Hippocrates around 400B.C. because of the health benefits that it provided. Even the Ancient Egyptians used it as far back as 300 B.C. for the same reason. It’s also mentioned in the bible as an antiseptic and healing agent. Christopher Columbus carried barrels of it to prevent scurvy during his voyage. It’s not a medicine that you can find in the pharmacy. It’s in the grocery store or a health store. It’s Apple Cider Vinegar.
Apple Cider Vinegar is a remedy for pet, food and environmental allergies, sinus infections, acne, high cholesterol, cold and flu, chronic fatigue, Candida, acid reflux, sore throats, contact dermatitis, arthritis, gout, food poisoning, upset stomach, asthma, headache, gallstones, kidney stones, sleep problems, bladder problems, bowel disorders, urinary tract infections and high blood pressure. Apple Cider Vinegar also aids in losing weight and helps fight osteoporosis.
Apple Cider Vinegar contains a number of enzymes and organic acids that are produced during the fermentation of apples and this is possibly the reason why it has such great healing properties. It also contains vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, and vitamin B6, manganese, iron, calcium, sodium, magnesium, sulpher, copper, phosphorus, silicon, chlorine, fluorine, potassium and fiber and unlike medications, Apple Cider Vinegar has no known side-effects.
Old folk lore recommended a daily dose of Apple Cider Vinegar for good overall health. However, not all Apple Cider Vinegar will give you these health benefits. Most grocery stores carry the distilled version and this type of Apple Cider Vinegar does not have the healing properties. A health store is more likely to carry the non-distilled version.
