There are a lot of foods out there that are truly bad for you and they are all over the news. How about some good news on healthy foods that you thought were off limits? These foods are great for your health but up until now have gotten a bad rap in the media. Science does not always agree with the media as we all know so well.
Coffee: Alright, you do not eat coffee unless it has been sitting in the office pot WAY too long, but the media would have you believe that coffee is horrible for your health. On the contrary, my friend, science seems to think that coffee aids older adults with memory improvement, so why not start earlier in life that that. You do still have to consume the liquid of the Gods in moderations though.
Peanut Butter: This high calorie, high fat food has been banned by nearly every diet on earth and that is just too bad for the body. Peanut butter is actually great for your health. Anyone want to eat a spoonful of peanut butter and lower your chance of coronary heart disease? I am all in for that scoop right now!
The Incredible, Edible Egg: Again, the media would love for you to accept what they say and eliminate eggs from the surface of the earth. Eggs are only good for shooting your cholesterol through the roof, right? I am afraid that is a huge misunderstanding. The choline present in eggs helps to improve brain function. We have a regular breakfast of champions going here, huh?
Avocado: This high fat fruit is commonly referred to as the reason you have cellulite on your thighs. If you ever thought that one more scoop of guacamole was bad for your heart, think again. The fats in avocados may be high, but they are the same fats that doctors say Americans do not eat enough of, the good fats. Pass the tortilla chips please.
Life is good when you find out those foods on the forget ‘em list are actually great for your health. The time has come to add some coffee to your morning, put the peanut butter back on the toast, scramble up some eggs and finish the evening with a little guacamole.
