Ah yes, our favourite BFF’s are fighting again. And today the BFF’s that we are talking about are those on our favourite prime time drama that once was ‘Sex and the City’. And of course you know who we’re talking about when it comes to catfighting, that’s right, it’s the ongoing feud between Sarah Jessica Parker and co-star Kim Cattrall. The fighting between these two is historic, and oddly, never ending. It is odd the entire thing because it leaves the viewer to wonder....how is it possible that two people who seem to hate each other off screen, have such amazing BFF chemistry ON screen? Are these two just REALLY great actresses, or are they REALLY great at stirring up some PR? Hmmmm.....The fighting between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall has been going on since the days they appeared on the small screen. And that was eons ago. With talk of the show going to the big screen, we heard about them cat fighting again, as Kim Cattrall was demanding financial and movie credits akin to the show’s owner and star, Sarah Jessica Parker. (pssst.....you just don’t DO that in Hollywood) We heard that the fighting got so intense, that the movie was cancelled. Well, it WAS, but they finally settled their differences and hit the mega screen in a $408 million blockbuster. No, you can’t beat numbers like that, the fans like Sex and the City, they were ticked when it ended, and after that movie...they want more. So talk of a sequel ensued. And then Kim Cattrall says in an interview with Scary Spice that the sequel has been confirmed, leading fans everywhere to rejoice. All fans of the show rejoiced but the owner of SATC, Sarah Jessica Parker. She gave a loud *AHEM* on that notice, alerting everyone everywhere that Kim Cattrall and her big mouth were wrong.

"I'm thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done. With 'the wind on our heels,' (of the first movie) we hope to make it (the sequel) a reality."

Ouch!! Is there any way to take that other than this movie has only been given the green light in Kim’s head? What it really means is that ideas are being pitched left right and center, show owners, directors and producers are counting and recounting the $408 million the FIRST movie made, and that this will probably be a go (who can deny that kind of cash) but hell no it won’t be because Kim said so. So Sarah Jessica Parker made it crystal clear that this is not Samantha in the City after all. And if we really want to overanalyze the situation, what exactly did Sarah Jessica mean when she put ‘the wind on our heels’ in quotes? It may be a play on the fact that these four BFF’s love their Manolo’s and their Blahnik’s, or it may be a subtle hint to give the fans a teaser. Perhaps a sequel titled ‘Sex and the City: The Wind On Our Heels’ or something just as cheesy. Let’s hope that wherever the wind is blowing for these girls, that they will be able to kiss and makeup before the sequel (because with gross records from the first one, there are 408 million reasons that prove there’s no way a sequel is NOT happening). And if they don’t kiss and make up, well, you know how it is. Two on-screen BFF’s clawing it out in real life makes for REALLY great press...
