Do you know Your Facial Skin Type - Oily, Dry, Normal?
Knowing your facial skin type is one of the most important part of daily facial care. Some women have dry skin, while others have oily skin. There are those with sensitive skin and still more with combination skin. Your skin type will guide you in purchasing beauty products, makeups and even facial cleansers and lotions. Each skin type have unique characteristics, definable for the woman.

Dry skin is most often noticeable only to those who suffer from this skin type. Skin that lacks in natural body oils, tend to take on a dry appearance. Women with dry skin tend to have smaller pores, a taught feeling after washing and dry patches that make flake from time to time.

Oily skin is the direct opposite of dry skin. An overproduction of natural oils leaves the face shiny even after normal everyday cleansing. Larger facial pores lend a greater chance of breakouts to those suffering from oily skin.

Normal skin is just that, normal. Cleansing tends to leave normal skin looking fresh and vibrant. No daily oily or dry patches occur and pores tend to be medium to small in nature. Women with normal skin have the luck of little or no facial breakouts.

Combination skin is literally a combination of all of the above mentioned symptoms. Sometimes oily, sometimes dry, sometimes both, women who have combination skin tend to notice several areas that appear dry or oily on a regular basis.

Sensitive skin love to be pampered. After cleansing, a woman with sensitive skin may feel spots of irritation on the face. This irritation can lead to breakouts or rashes when non hypoallergenic products are used.

A woman's skin type is the key to all things facial. If a woman does not know her skin type, she could realistically be buying products that are harming her facial skin. While every face is different, skin types tend to fall into one of these categories. Skin cleansers, makeups and lotions should all be purchased with skin type in mind.
