Help for Preventing Acne
Acne is a problem for most of us. It can be embarrassing and painful. Do not despair though because there are numerous ways you can prevent acne. Before that it is important to understand that acne occurs because due to internal as well as external factors. The following are some tips as to how each of us can prevent breakouts.
• If you have acne, do not pop it. Do not squeeze it either. These can only make things worse.
• If you apply cosmetics to your face, make sure that the brushes you are using are clean. Clean brushes in soapy water regularly. If the makeup is old it is most likely contaminated. Throw it out.
• Do not sleep with makeup on. Your pores will clog up if you do and clog pores equals acne.
• If you just have an exercise or a workout, shower as soon as you can. Your skin oils, if combined with your sweat, can lead to the entrapment of dirt in your pores. Where there is dirt, there are bacteria, so acne is not far away.
• When you sleep, make sure that your hair is pulled away from your face. The dirt from your hair can of course go to your face and cause acne.
• Make sure that your pillowcases are clean. Also, when you use a face towel, make sure this is clean too. If pillowcases and towels are dirty, it is a breeding ground for bacteria and all that germs.
• Basically, maintain a clean hygiene.
• If you are stressed, acne could be the result of that. One solution is to exercise regularly. This way, oxygen can penetrate more to your skin and your blood circulation will improve.
• Drinking plenty of water can also be of great help for acne prevention. This will help detoxify the body.
• There are a lot of medicated concealers out there. You can use these on the acne that breaks out, not necessarily on your whole face.
• If you have make up, use the non-oily ones.
• When you apply make up, always have your hands washed before application.
• Washing the face excessively can dry the kin as well as irritate it. Use a mild soap.
• If you have naturally dry skin, use moisturizer, again the no-oily one.
• If you have squeezed a pimple, you can dab it with pure tea-tree oil. This may heal it.
• Acne can also be prevented if you wash your face with tea-tree oil.
There are still other ways to prevent acne including the use of some products that are sold out there. Most of these products do work for you though if you are lucky. Others will really give some more embarrassing and painful side effects. If you use any of these products, make sure to consult a skin doctor beforehand. Also, do not let acne rule over you and ruin your social life. Most people are suffering with acne. Have a little confidence in yourself.
