Make up for Summer Nights

Summer is just around the corner and every woman knows that it is the time when their skin will be on display the most and they need to looks their best. All of us are aware of the effects of the sun during the day and will adapt our skin care routine and make up accordingly. This involves paying particular attention to the SPF of any make up that is used and remembering to use sun block of high SPF sun cream if make up is not worn. If make up is work during the day it is usually more subtle and muted colors but as the night falls women want a more dramatic and 'summer time' look for their skin and make up and here's a few hints and tips on how to do just that:

• Remember to use a lighter foundation, if you want to use one at all, as it will still be hot and you don't want the heat to ruin it. However if you are tanned a light shimmering moisturizer should work perfectly well.

• Enhance your eyes with a touch of sparkle over your eye shadow, this works well if you don't use a color which is too dark as this will make you look tired and can run into the corners of your eyes in the heat. For summer nights a pale pink, blue or green goes particularly well with a tanned skin.
• Don't use heavy lip liner, this will make your look seems to heavy for the summer and can crack and bleed into your lips very easily if you are hot and dancing the night away!

• Use either a light brown or clear mascara as it will open up your eyes and make them look fresher and more youthful, ideal for summer nights.

• Try to steer clear of black eye liner, this is too dark for the summer and will make your eyes appear smaller. Also only use eye liner on your top lids as this will help to further open up your eyes.

• Try a light shimmering loose powder, dusted over your shoulder and cleavage area. This will help to make your shoulders look slimmer and emphasize your cleavage.

• Bright colors are all the rage at the moment with azure blues and lush greens dominating the catwalk and an outfit can be accented with a slick of green or blue eye shadow in a matching tone. Remember not to overdo it though; less is more in a hot climate.

• Lips should be shiny and lip gloss is the best product to use. Don't go for colors which are too dark, stick to more natural shades as these will make your eyes stand out even more.

If you follow these hints and tips you will look fabulous during the hot summer nights, and be ready to party until dawn without fear of your make up running. You really will look like a beach babe at all times!
