Varicose Veins, Finding Remedies

Although many women try surgery, creams, massage and various other treatments on the unsightly condition known as varicose veins, there really is little which can be done to remove them completely. Surgery is a last resort, only to be used in cases where there is literally no other options. You can gain some relief from varicose veins by using other means which are more natural.

CAUSES

These bulging, red or purple veins which show through the skin are often the result of excess weight, long period of standing, improper nutrition and poor exercise habits.

TREATMENT

The first thing to do is to use natural creams on the area where the varicose veins are showing. Gentle massage will increase circulation and creams which tighten the skin and firm up the underlying tissue will give those veins better support.

At the same time, proper nutrition and plenty of water is beneficial not only for the veins and skin, but for the overall condition of the body.

If you must stand for long periods of time, try shifting your weight from foot to foot. Do what you can to keep the circulation of blood and fluids moving. You can also use elastic bandages to improve the support and pressure against the veins. Any product or exercise which will improve circulation and provide stronger vein walls will give improvement to the area.

Using foods which are noted for blood circulation in your diet, as well as making sure you get adequate intake of all the essential vitamins and minerals will improve your overall health.

Even if you must undergo more extensive surgical treatment for the condition in the future, improving your overall health and general circulation will make your healing faster after the surgical intervention.

Each of these natural remedies can also be considered to be preventative measures.
